Stupid tech, where stupidity meets technology

Technology is getting advanced by the second but once every 2 minutes, someone comes up with something totally stupid that makes you take a second or third or maybe even forth look at it just to make sure you’re seeing things correctly. Check out my picks on stupid technology, so advanced, it’ll make you give a sarcastic wow every time.

Liquid Oxygen

It’s not really liquid oxygen, it’s actually salt water.

Label reads:
“The chemical components in Liquid Oxygen are distilled water, sodium chloride, dissolved oxygen and essential and trace minerals. The species of oxygen found in Liquid Oxygen include O2, and O4. The active ingredient in Liquid Oxygen is a relatively stable nascent molecule of oxygen in the form of O4. All other oxygen type supplements bond their active oxygen to salt molecules forming oxychlorine or oxy-halogen compounds driving up the pH to levels that could be dangerous to the skin and delicate membranes in the oral cavity if taken improperly. In addition, additional stomach acid activity is required to break these molecules down to release the oxygen.”

In plain English, it reads “I am using science geek talk to disguise the fact that I’m ripping you off by selling you salt water. Why you would need it, I’ll never know.”

Robot Suit

I can’t get enough of Japanese technology. I love their anime and mangas but I never thought I could be just like them… kind of. Gain your super human strength and wear this robot suit! The scientists at the Kanagawa Institute of Technology in Japan created a robot suit that allows the wearer to have the ability to pick up a person up to 220 pounds, even if the wearer weighs much less.

This product is created for seniors to make them more mobile. But for now, it is aimed for caregivers to make it easier for them to pick up seniors when necessary. The suit weights 66 pounds and takes 10 minutes to put it on. By the time they are ready to carry their grandma into the washroom, she’d have already finished her business.

Wireless Memo Book

Even paper has caught up with technology. Take that MacBook!

Rollercoaster Supermarket
Rollercoaster Supermarket
Laziness has gone to a new level. China has reinvented grocery shopping by building a rollercoaster inside a grocery store. The grocery store’s rollercoaster slowly takes the shoppers through its five floors. Shoppers can take whatever they need as they pass through the aisles. But if a shopper misses an item, they would have to ride through the five floors all over again.

Fan Fork

Never burn your tongue again! The fan will cool down your food before it enters your mouth. Just don’t cut your tongue off.

In all these inventors’ defense, innovation comes from trial and error and, often, the dumbest ideas can actually become the smartest ideas! Would you buy any of the stuff above? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
