Unbelievable clothes made from common materials

I love fashion as much as the next person but we can all say that fashion is just a constantly recycled thing, for good or worse. Bell bottoms, flares, skinny jeans are constantly making a comeback. With every fashion faux pas at one point or another broken and rebroken, where does that leave fashion today? Looking into other materials to create incredible clothing of course! From using balloons to toilet paper, check out some amazing clothing made just for looks, not for practicality.

Balloon Wedding Dress

Look at the intricacy of this wedding dress. The tiny balloon details and the little flourish added to the foot of the skirt are well-twisted. The dress is perfectly fitted and I love the little hairpiece that tops off the dress!

Duct Tape Prom Duo

The tuxedo and dress (including the umbrella) are purely made of duct tape. You gotta love the duct tape ruffles on the skirt!

Toilet Paper Wedding Dress

The detail on this dress is so intricate. I wonder how they got the dress on without ripping the toilet paper!

Newspaper Dress

My favourite dress is this one. It’s made of newspaper displayed at one of Las Vegas’s malls. Very classy looking.

Cocoa Dress

For those hippies, there’s a dress made from 95% cocoa tree materials. It’s called the EL CEIBO Cocoa Dress.

Pretty cool stuff eh? If global warming kills all cotton plants, we can look towards using these materials to make clothes. Ha!

What you wear these dresses for special occasions? If yes, what occasion? Let me know in the comments below! I would wear the toilet paper wedding dress… for halloween!
